Tasty and touristic! Great atmosphere both inside and outside. Inside, sports are almost always on the TV. The decorations inside are fun. Music is a mix of indie and country (obviously differing tastes of the staff!) at just the right volume. Outside, there is a great amount of seating under umbrellas and tin roof that offers excellent views of the mountains. Lots of sun for those who want it, too! There is a fire pit that is sometimes lit at night, especially on the weekends. Live music occasionally on Fridays. The service is friendly but always busy so make sure to ask for that drink refill when you have the chance! The new owners are foreign and so excited to be there - they are very enjoyable to talk to. All of the food that I have tried is delicious. I especially enjoy their burger and sandwiches. Many people enjoy the wings and Cannibal Salad. The pizza is good, too! Always 5 or 6 beers on tap as well as more bottled along with wine and spirits. I had breakfast for the first time recently and it was very good and filling. Occasionally there are specials, sometimes Slovakian dishes, that are always fun to try. Give this restaurant a shot! There's a good chance you'll like it!

Unbelievably bad service! Waited over TWO hours for our food which came out separately for our party at different times! Husband's steak was ice cold along with a freezer cold potato! Come to find out the server forgot to turn in our order (after we asked at 1-1/2 hour into waiting)! Food disgusting so don't bother going!

We came here on a very, very busy evening. The place was slammed and there were only three waitresses and two cooks. Neither of the dish washers showed up that night. We were told that they had no idea how long it would be before we were served, but to feel free to sit at they bar and have a drink. They'd get with us as soon as they could. The service might have been a little slower than normal but under the circumstances it was really very good. I had a reuben and it was fantastic. Everything was hot and tasty, which was a surprise given how backed up they were. The waitresses kept a great attitude even though some of the patrons were getting upset. They worked as hard as I've ever seen a wait staff work under some difficult circumstances, including the iPad ordering system going down. I'd like to come back sometime when everything is more relaxed, but I have to say I was impressed with the staff and the food.

10 stars for Hannah - darling efficient sincere wait gal - busy busy as this was the ONLY restaurant open in LC for dinner after the wine fest - management printed a one page menu with apologies knowing service could be slower & reduced food choices to help kitchen staff keep up. The hamburger was perfect service could not have been better ~ we would definitely return. THANK YOU Cannibal Grill for thinking caring and serving L C visitors ~ we appreciate and value your high standard of going beyond for those that don't arrive with convinces of a camper.

Friendly and reasonably attentive service at lunch here, contrary to previous reviews. Basically a burger bar with hot fresh food. We did notice a pizza served at the table next to us that was burned to a crisp and sent back to the kitchen. Don't order pizza, order a burger.

Friendly service, good bar food. Prices reflect that you're in a mountain tourist town. Had the veggie burger and cheese fries (American cheese). Not amazing but reliable. Nice dog friendly section on the patio.

Excellent!! We split full rack of ribs with potatoes. More than enough food for 2. The bbq sauce was sweet with a touch of spicy. Good all the way around!

Skip this place. For one, almost all the workers are Slovakian and their culture is rude rude! They don't k ow hospitality and never offer to get you another drink or refill anything. I had the fish tacos and they were good but obviously were made of frozen cat fish. They were so juicy (as in I literally squeezed the juice into a glass and it was half full from 2 tacos). They said the tacos were juicy because of the cold slaw... Cold slaw is I my that watery if it has been sitting and not drained right. The "chef" aka the Slovakian in her phone came out from the back and was behind the bar, chatting with 2 others and nodding towards me. After she walked off, the waitress came and asked everything was okay. Yeah.., they were talking about me. Terrible experience !

Interesting spot in the small town of Lake City, CO. Came in about 2pm on a friday. was not real busy, and we were taken care of pretty quickly. We ordered a couple of burgers and drinks. Service was efficient, but not particularly friendly. Seemed like it catered to locals more so than travelers. We were up there for a hunting trip. Not many options during this time of year (actually, even during summer, pickins are slim). Food was pretty good. Overall, it was a good experience and would return.

Food is excellent, but the service is very slow! The dog friendly patio needs more tables too. They have a huge outdoor patio, but only 4 maybe 5 tables that welcome dogs. Plus this is supposely the only dog friendly restaurant in town so why not offer more tables. They defiantly have the space outside. Recommend the food but except to wait awhlie!

My wife and I had our wedding reception here, and there are not enough words to describe how amazing it was! Susie and the staff went so far and above what we were expecting, and they did it all with hard work and positive attitudes! On top of that, the food was extremely tasty with huge portions - the compliments poured in all night. Even when we ate there on a day outside of our reception, the same amazing service, quality food, and attention to detail were there. If you are looking for a special place to host your event or just get an awesome meal any time during your stay at Lake City, we highly, highly recommend the Packer Saloon and Cannibal Grill!

Good chips and queso. Food is all good there, not great but good. My son got the pizza it was good and above average. One friend got a burger it was good. I got a Philly and fries. The fries are baked and taste like bake Orieda fries. I would pass on the fries. Food is solid there overall though. Nice firepit and friendly staff.

Stopped here after driving the scenic byway from Southfork. What a great way to end the day. Delicious food and drink. I highly recommend the jalapeño poppers and wild brat. The potato on the ribs (which were also outstanding) was amazing! This should definitely be a Lake City stop!

Very nice little place to eat in Lake City, CO. I ordered the burger and it was fantastic!! The place was pretty busy but didn't have to wait too long for food. The staff was very friendly and the place was clean. I highly recommend it!!

Stopped in here at the midway point for the Alpine Loop. Didn't have high hopes for this small town diner, but was pleasantly surprised. Maybe I was just hungry, but they had a very good burger and grilled chicken sandwich - and I'm picky with those. Only one waitress was on duty, but provided very good service despite having to also run the UPS shipping service the place also provides. Also, despite being in the middle of now where, they had about 10 craft beers on tap, which I would have enjoyed if I wasn't about to drive up a mountain. Overall a very nice stop while Jeeping the trails.

Love love love!! We ate here multiple times this past week when we stayed in Lake city. Adorable atmosphere, full service bar. They even had TITO'S vodka( Texas gals dream ) The owners/wait staff are adorable, friendly, & genuine about making sure you are happy, well taken care of & that your bellies are full. We had dinner one night outside under their Pavillion. We had 11 of us, 5 of which are children, so its always a challenge with all of us. ( we can get rowdy ) Our waitress ( the owner ) who is slavic, is the sweetest little thing, who was so attentive to us all & even ran back & forth in the rain to wait on us. The flatbread pizza is awesome ( kid fave ), I had the packer burger with pepperjack cheese & sauteed mushrooms!! So good. P.s. they have an awesome selection of deep colorado craft beers. TRY THE MOOSE DROOL-YUMMO My mother-in-law had the taco taters. & OMG addictive!. They even have a gluten-free selection & a beer that is gluten-free!. Now we did have breakfast this a.m. & while most everyone's selections were awesome, 4 of us ordered the biscuits & gravy & the gravy part was a lil' strange-tasting. Maybe they just need this Texas gal to teach rhem how to get that gravy all flavored up Paula Deen style...lol All in all, excellent food, amazing owners & servers. *We WILL be back. .. can't wait!

So the atmosphere is great. Awesome outdoor seating. Important to note it's dog friendly as we didn't know and left our dog in the truck. So much of lake city seemed to not be dog friendly. The food- it wasn't that great. I've been told you just pay more in lake city, but if I'm paying $11 for a burger and fries (you pay extra for fries!) then I want it to be really good. It wasn't bad just not and $11 burger. We paid $9 for kid burger and fries! So this aspect was pretty disappointing. The tomatoes and lettuce on the burger were very fresh though. So if I'm judging on food alone this gets two stars, but the outdoor area in June is phenomenal and I give them props for liking dogs and the staff was nice. I'm not sure if there really are better food options in lake city or not.

This is another place that offers good food and cold beer in Lake City. My wife have sampled their pizza, burgers, and sandwiches with no complaints at all. There are several big-screen TV's for sports fanatics; outside seating when the weather allows; and a scrappy looking cat to keep you company outside while you wait for your food. Friendly staff. One block west of Gunnison Ave.

Great place for pizza and beer after hiking in the area. The outdoor patio area is added bonus to take advantage of the nice weather.

If you are looking for a casual place to have a good lunch in Lake City, I recommend this saloon and Grill. They have a nice large outdoor seating area, a large menu, and good beers on tap. The "Cannibal Wings" are large chunks of pork on bones - hearty and delicious with the sauce.
